Adam Smith Theatre Kirkc

Description of works

The Adam Smith Theatre was built in honour of the renowned economist and philosopher Adam Smith, who was born in Kirkcaldy in 1723. The building was opened on October 11th, 1899, and was funded by a bequest from Michael Beveridge, a linoleum manufacturer and Provost. This bequest holds significant historical importance within the Kingdom of Fife.

Lovats Group Ltd won the competitive tendering process for the fit-out project, which involved several main commercial kitchens, bar, and servery areas, with a budget of circa 200K. Our project was part of a larger investment of 7.8 million by Fife Council to upgrade and restore the building, enabling it to play a significant role once again in Kirkcaldy’s cultural sector.

Lovats Group Ltd is a local business and employer in the community of Kirkcaldy. We were thrilled to showcase our capabilities in delivering a significant and large-scale project. We are proud to say that Lovats Group completed the project within the set timeframe and budget. It was an honour to represent local businesses and fly their flag high.
